Meet Jordan

Buying or selling a home comes with a lot of information, but my vision is simple: keep the client at the center of every decision. I want my clients to understand their options and the reasoning behind them, so each choice connects clearly to what they're trying to accomplish.

My background is in physics education and university research, including work with Raman spectroscopy. In that work, a material reveals itself through its unique spectral fingerprint. I bring a similar mindset to real estate because no two clients, properties, or situations are exactly alike. Each has its own priorities, financial considerations, market conditions, and long-term goals. My job is to understand those pieces and help bring them into focus.

That idea of finding the meaningful signal within something complex also reflects the way I have approached my career in education. My work in physics has never been only about equations, exams, or academic achievement. I have always believed the strongest classrooms are built around relationships, mentorship, and a genuine sense of community. I work to create what I often call a "physics family," where students are challenged to grow academically while also learning to support one another, take intellectual risks, and recognize what they are capable of becoming. That ability to understand people, earn trust, explain difficult ideas clearly, and help someone move forward with confidence is one of the most important things I bring with me into real estate.

My academic path has reinforced that same curiosity. It spans mathematics, applied physics, research, and educational leadership, each requiring me to look at problems from a different perspective. I have always been a learner at heart. Whether I am studying a physical system, working with a student, or evaluating a real estate decision, I enjoy understanding how the individual pieces interact and identifying which information actually matters.

That analytical approach carries into how I work with buyers and sellers. For buyers, I look beyond the asking price to consider meaningful comparable sales, ownership costs, financing scenarios, and the market factors that may affect the decision. For sellers, I focus on how the property fits within the current market, how buyers are likely to respond, and what that means for pricing, positioning, and evaluating offers.

This thinking is also the foundation of my Home Decision Report, a client-focused framework that brings the most relevant parts of a real estate decision into one place: market position, ownership costs, financing, property-specific considerations, and the reasoning behind a recommended strategy, all shaped around what actually matters for that property and that client.

I am also an engineer at heart and have always loved building things, whether that means experimenting with 3D printers and CAD, building simple, fun toys for my kids, or working through the complexity of electrical systems, computer programming, sensor systems, and IMU calibration for rocket canards. What I enjoy most is understanding how individual pieces work together, moving comfortably between simplicity and complexity, and turning an idea into something functional. In many ways, that is the same mindset I bring to teaching, research, and real estate: understanding the pieces, separating the signal from the noise, and building toward a purposeful result.

Outside of work, the clearest signal in my life is my family. My wife and I have three children, and much of what matters most to me centers around the life we are building together. We love the excitement of Disney, but we are equally at home slowing things down in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where we have vacation property and enjoy Lake Michigan, the woods, and a quieter pace with the kids.

That focus on family is also part of what drew me to Luker & Co. Our mission here is built around shared growth, and our values place customer focus, honesty, integrity, and family at the center of the business. That client-centered philosophy matters to me because I believe every real estate decision should start with understanding the person behind it and what matters most to them.

Real estate works best as a partnership. Every transaction has a lot happening at once: market noise, competing priorities, financing details, and timing pressure. My job, together with yours, is to find the real signal in it and identify the path that fits you best.

If you are buying or selling and want someone who will take the time to explain the reasoning behind the process, I would be honored to start the conversation.
